Learning to See

I used to be infrangible.
Unbroken, strong and sure
My worries couldn't find me
Defeat, was just word.

Naive to believe in perfect
Pain, I didn't know
Locked up safe inside myself
In a life I never loathed.

Slipped into my fantasy
In dreams I came to live
Change was unexpected,
Though inevitable as it seems.

Everything was golden,
Til my sunshine turned to rain.
I couldn't comprehend
Why life wouldn't stay the same.

I found myself questioning
Why things have come to be.
There's a purpose somewhere out there,
I just have to learn to see.
